Algeria begins their Group J campaign against defending champions Argentina in Kansas City on 16 June.
The team will face Jordan six days later in San Francisco, and close the group stage against Austria in Kansas City on 27 June.
Riyad Mahrez has won 113 caps for Algeria and has scored nine times in the Africa Cup of Nations, making him the country's record scorer at the tournament.
How did Riyad Mahrez rise to fame?
Born in France to an Algerian father and a mother with Algerian and Moroccan roots, Mahrez turned professional in 2009 with Quimper in Brittany, north-western France.
He moved to Le Havre in 2010 and later joined Leicester City in 2014, where he began representing Algeria.
Mahrez was named in the provisional Algeria squad for the World Cup in Brazil and performed well enough in his international debut to convince then head coach Vahid Halilhodžić to include him in the squad.
What can we expect from Riyad Mahrez in the 2026 World Cup?
As captain of Vladimir Petkovic's side, Mahrez will be central to a squad making its fifth appearance at the tournament.
He has stated that the 2026 tournament will be his last, saying "2026 will be my last one, I'll give everything I have to represent Algeria in the best possible way."
Mahrez has also won domestic trophies at Manchester City, along with a Cup of Nations title with Algeria in Egypt in 2019.

Riyad Mahrez scored his first goal for Algeria on 15 October 2014, in a 3-0 win over Malawi in qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has since become a key player for the team, leading them to several victories and earning individual accolades, including being voted English football's Player of the Year in 2016.
